Prairie Ridge Church is taking precautions to reduce the spread of COVID-19, including social distancing by family in the sanctuary during worship. You will see our door greeters wearing masks.
We are taking communion using individually packaged juice/wafer servings.
Our COVID response is guided by these 3 principles:
- Nothing should stop the church from the work of ministry and corporate worship for an indefinite, undefined period of time. “…not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another…” Hebrews 10:25 (NIV)
- We should do what we can to care for the safety and well being of our friends, neighbors, and fellow believers. “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:39 (NIV)
- The most important component of our response is love, especially love for other believers. There are many things we can disagree about as Christians, but we are always compelled to love and have grace. Not only does our God require it of us, but the unbelieving world will look to us to see how we treat one another. “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35 (NIV)
While we recommend the wearing of masks, it is not required in Caldwell County and it is not required by our church. You will need to decide what is best for yourself and your families. If you wear a mask, you will be welcomed with love and without judgement. Likewise, if you do not wear a mask, you will be welcomed with love and without judgement.
If you do not feel comfortable attending church with these conditions or are experiencing any COVID symptoms, please stay home and continue to listen to our sermon that will be posted on the website.
“And over all these virtues, put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” Colossians 3:14 (NIV)
